Sonny Dykes on recruiting: 'Next 2 weeks are important weeks for us'

Recruiting is the name of the game, as SMU has an official visitor coming this week and two upcoming junior days.

Sonny Dykes has heavy recruiting on the mind for the next couple of weeks. "It's important to make a good impression," he said. (SMU Football)

The regular signing period -- once simply known as National Signing Day -- is set for Feb. 5. In 13 days, the SMU football team will have its 2020 class finalized, and during that span, head coach Sonny Dykes also is hoping to make an impression on players who could be early pledges as a part of future classes.
