The one thing about SMU being 7-0 on the year and nationally ranked for the first time in more than 30 years is that every recruit -- locally, in-state and nationally -- starts to recognize what's going on. The Mustangs are hoping this season will result in a well-respected 2020 recruiting class.

Over the weekend, Beaumont West Brook wide receiver Thaddaeus Johnson took his first official visit of his allotted five to the Hilltop and was on hand to experience SMU's 45-21 victory over Temple. The first official not only lived up to his expectations but also set the bar for other potential visits.
