DALLAS, Texas (THEHILLTOPICS) -- Class of 2027 defensive tackle Jalen Brewster has received an offer from SMU. Brewster, who attends Cedar Hill High School, a Class 6A program ranked No. 58 in Texas, is from the Dallas suburb of Cedar Hill.
“When I got my offer from SMU, I was so excited. It was amazing because I had just been talking about SMU,” Brewster said. “What makes SMU stand out to me is that they were the first to talk to me about their style of play and defensive scheme.”
Brewster has also received offers from Oklahoma, Texas, and Baylor, among others.
“I got into football by watching my dad play. He signed me up for flag football, and I’ve loved it ever since,” Brewster said.
Brewster credits his coach, Musgrove, for pushing him to improve daily. “Coach Musgrove encourages me every day to go harder than I have before. That really motivates me,” Brewster said.
When it comes time to make a decision, Brewster said his choice will depend on where he fits in and how the coaches treat him.
