Memphis head coach Mike Norvell spoke about playing SMU, preparing for a primetime game and what needs to be done to contain the Mustangs.
The excitement level has never been higher around the SMU football team. Carrying an undefeated record, having been ranked in the AP Top 25 for five straight weeks and leading the American Athletic Conference's West Division has shifted a lot of focus to the Hilltop.
With the renewed excitement and energy and being one of two Week 10 games featuring ranked opponents, the national spot will be on the program, as well, with ESPN's College Gameday visiting Memphis and the game between No. 15 SMU and No. 24 Memphis being broadcast on ABC. Certainly a situation and a moment in time not lost on Memphis’ head coach Mike Norvell.
