The SMU basketball team is now a game in without any news from the NCAA on its two transfer guards. How long will the Mustangs go without a word?

A game into the 2019-20 season, and the SMU men's basketball team is dealing with the same, broken-record message.

As of early Tuesday morning, there's still no word from the NCAA on the eligibility status of SMU transfer guards Kendric Davis and Darius McNeill. The Mustangs played and won their first game of the year Tuesday against Jacksonville State, but played the entire game without a true point guard.

Davis, a 5-11 transfer sophomore from TCU, would be that point. McNeill, a 6-3 junior transfer from Cal, can handle the ball, as well.
