By the end of Saturday, Gerald J. Ford will be treated to one of two fascinating stories.

Either the crowd will have an undefeated, ranked SMU team to cheer for, a team that hasn't been this good, record wise, since the early 1980s, or the crowd will have seen a highly underrated Temple team knock off its third top-25 opponent of the season.

Whatever the case, expect fireworks, as No. 19 hosts Temple in a key American Athletic Conference matchup.

"As players, we're just going to do our jobs. That's all we can do," SMU wide receiver James Proche said. "We can't make any game bigger than it is or lesser than it is. We've just got to do our jobs."

The game will feature one of the nation's best offenses in SMU taking on a defensive powder keg in Temple, which ranks second behind Navy in the AAC in both total defense and points allowed. Consider it a big test for both squads.
