SMU is riding the national wave for the moment. The team is 5-0 for the first time since 1983, ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll for the first time since 1986 and slowly but surely regaining the those with an appreciation for football in the city of Dallas.
While the No. 24 Mustangs are on the rise under coach Sonny Dykes, SMU's former coach is looking to build something in the SEC. Chad Morris has the Arkansas Razorbacks at 2-3 on the season, and his team is looking to bounce back from a 31-27 loss to No. 25 Texas A&M.
During Wednesday's SEC coaches teleconference, Morris was asked about SMU's turnaround. He spoke about how circumstances were a little different than they are now, but he also was happy to see the success with the program.
