South Oakcliff High School, the 2023 state champion contenders, still produces highly ranked players for the 2024 season.
South Oakcliff started this season by being ranked No. 2 in their respective state classes.
Sophomore Brian Swanson is already ranked at the top of his 2027 class and plays every down on South Oakcliff’s varsity team.
When asked how the Bears take on teams that lead to significant blowouts, Swanson said, “ We use those games to work on Mistakes that we had in the past and more film.” “Also, these are the games we let people who don’t play as much play.”
SMU is right down the street.
If Swanson decides to stay home, the Mustangs have an easy home-court advantage, but other schools are still pressuring the high school sophomore.
Swanson told Thehilltopics that OU and Ole Miss have been most in contact.
Swanson has offers from Texas, Baylor, and Oregon, just to name a few.
