With a Thursday-night game now out of the way, the Mustangs will have a couple extra days to prepare for a tough road matchup against Memphis. SMU will take all of its notes from Thursday's 34-31 win against Houston and work out a game plan to where it will be a little more crisp next week than it was this week.

Nevertheless, the Mustangs left TDECU Stadium with a win. The team is 8-0 for the first time since 1982 -- and that team started 10-0 and finished 11-0-1. Additionally, SMU is undefeated through four conference games for the first time since 1986.
