Florida Atlantic receiver DeAndre McNeal is transferring to SMU.

The former Mesquite High School standout is a graduate transfer and will have one year of playing time remaining.

Coming out of Poteet High School, McNeal was a highly touted prospect. He had offers from multiple powerhouse programs before deciding on Texas. He left UT after one season and transferred to a California JUCO before landing back at FAU.

At FAU, he had 24 catches for 318 yards.
