The SMU Mustangs look to go to 2-0 with a win tonight against New Orleans at Moody Coliseum.
After last Tuesday's win against Jacksonville State, SMU coach Tim Jankovich explained why offensive rebounds are so valuable to him. In the 74-65 victory, the Mustangs had 39 rebounds, 17 of which came on the offensive side of the floor.
"To me, offensive rebounding is like homeowner's insurance," Jankovich said. "You've got insurance on your home when guys miss shots; if you're going to go get a bunch of them back, it's insurance. That's what makes your offensive efficiency great."
