Mustangs remain undefeated at home

The SMU Mustangs grabbed their 10th win of the season as they defeated the Furman Paladin 72-53 on Sunday afternoon.
This was the first game at Moody Coliseum since SMU defeated Utah 62-55 on November 28th.

SMU's Brian Bernardi had a team and game high 20 points off the bench. He was 4 of 7 from behind the arc.
Jalen Jones had 14 points, Cannen Cunningham had 13, and Shawn Williams added 10.
Furman got in foul trouble early so the majority of SMU's second half points were earned at the free throw line.
SMU shot well at the charity stripe, making 27 of 32 attempts.
Furman's leading scorer was Bryant Irwin who had 15 points, all of which came from behind the 3-point line. He was 5-11 from behind the arc.
The Paladin made a total of 10 3-pointers during the game which kept them within 11 points at one point during the second half.
SMU shot well in tonight's game making 20 of 46 shots (.435). The Mustang's defense held Furman to 16 of 57 (.281). In fact, SMU didn't concede a bucket during the first 5 minutes of the game.
This game was the beginning of a stretch where the Mustangs will play 5 of their next 6 games at home in Moody Coliseum. They will travel down to play Houston in the middle of the home stand.
