Monitoring the SMU recruits from Rivals' Texas Top 100
SMU has four 2021 commits ranked in Rivals.com's current Texas Top 100. Can the Mustangs add a few more?
From a team rankings perspective, SMU is looking to work its way back into the national top 50. At No. 65, per Rivals.com, it must catch Memphis (No. 39), Cincinnati (No. 44) Navy (No. 58), Temple (tied at No. 58) and South Florida (No. 61).
A recruit or two can put the Mustangs right back in the hunt for top honors in the American Athletic Conference. Every team ranked above SMU has more than a dozen commits. Memphis has 19 commits. Cincinnati has 18.
