Memphis RB Gainwell should provide ultimate test for SMU defense
The SMU defense hasn't seen a running back like Memphis' Kenneth Gainwell all season. Saturday will be a chance to for the Mustangs to show their worth.
The SMU defense has seen its share of playmakers this season -- TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor, Houston receiver Marquez Stevenson and North Texas quarterback Mason Fine are three examples.
Saturday arguably is the test of the year for the Mustangs. The defense will line up against a beast in the backfield in Memphis redshirt freshman running back Kenneth Gainwell.
