Moraga, California, defensive commit Mason Mastrov took a mid-week official visit to SMU in June. Five days later, he announced his verbal commitment via social media. Back in the summer, he said he felt the culture of SMU changing right before him.
Fast forward to now, and the Mustangs are now ranked No. 24 in the country and boasting a 5-0 record. The opportunity to help build what head coach Sonny Dykes and his staff has preached was too good for the Campolindo High School prospect to turn down.
