James Proche had a career day and set SMU records against East Carolina, but he still has a lot to still achieve during the 2019 season.
With so many eyes watching, James Proche wanted to put on a show for the homecoming crowd. Eric Dickerson was there. Courtland Sutton, a player who Proche teamed up with before he found a home in the NFL with the Denver Broncos, also was there.
In front of Sutton, Dickerson and the rest of the 29,528 in attendance -- the largest crowd ever for a conference game at Gerald J. Ford Stadium -- Proche did what said he'd do in a win against East Carolina. He delivered.
And he delivered with record-setting authority.
