WATCH: SMU 2021 WR target Quaydarius Davis makes Odell Beckham-like catch

On Tuesday, The HillTopics caught up with Dallas Skyline 2021 wide receiver Quaydarius Davis, who spoke about his weekend visit to SMU. Davis is a one-time SMU pledge who is currently committed to Texas.

Thursday night, in a game against Lake Highlands, Davis made a catch that reminded people why he's such a wanted recruiting target. It was similar to the famous catch Odell Beckham Jr. when he was with the New York Giants playing against the Dallas Cowboys.

Skyline went on to win the game, 41-14. Davis caught four passes for 86 yards and a touchdown in the win.

SMU is hoping to have Davis recommit before he signs his national letter of intent next year. He has a solid relationship with SMU assistant coach Ra'Shaad Samples, who is a Skyline alum.

Davis is ranked the No. 80 overall prospect in the Rivals100 for the 2021 class. He's ranked the No. 17 wide receiver nationally and the No. 13 prospect out of the state of Texas.
