Last month, Tulsa, Oklahoma, three-star cornerback Keuan Parker spoke to The HillTopics after an offer from SMU. Monday night, the Booker T. Washington standout narrowed his list of schools to six -- and SMU was among the half dozen.

Parker announced a top six that included two Big 12 schools, two Big Ten schools, an SEC school and SMU as the lone Group of 5 representative. The Mustangs will compete with Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas, Michigan State and Nebraska to land Parker, a 5-11, 175-pound cornerback.

A national top-40 player at his position, Parker spoke highly of SMU to The HillTopics in March. He was offered on March 8 and is being recruited by SMU cornerbacks coach Kevin Curtis.

"It's a winning program right in the middle of Dallas," Parker told The HillTopics. "One of the best cities in the country."

Parker's junior year at Booker T. Washington resulted in 45 tackles (28 solo), 14 pass breakups and two interceptions. He helped his team advance to the Oklahoma Class 6A Division II playoffs this past season.

Parker is ranked the nation's No. 40 cornerback and also ranked the No. 6 player overall from the state of Oklahoma, according to Rivals.com.
