Sources have confirmed to SMU Rivals that Sonny Dykes is going after current TCU defensive coordinator Chad Glasgow to fill the Mustangs' defensive coordinator role.

Glasgow has a very impressive resume and has already jumped away from his job at TCU once before. The former Oklahoma State University linebacker left TCU in 2011 for the same position at Texas Tech--a brief one year stint.

Glasgow also coaches safeties for the Horned Frogs; ten safeties in Glasgow’s last 10 years at TCU signed NFL contracts. That's exactly the type of coach SMU needs running the defense but until pen's put to paper, SMU fans shouldn't get too excited. Glasgow didn't bite when Chad Morris had interest in him so it could be tough to get a deal together.

Update from the Star Telegram: Glasgow passes on a deal to become SMU's defensive coordinator. He is in the mix to become DC for his alma mater Oklahoma State.
