Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Friday said he is looking at an executive order next week that will outline guidelines for how state businesses can begin reopening after COVID-19 forced lockdowns.
With this in mind, more people could be spotted outside their home wearing masks, which have been recommended for those traveling to essential locations like grocery stores, medical facilities and gas stations. The CDC recommends wearing cloth masks in public when it's difficult to maintain social distancing.
Rather than purchasing masks, many are learning how to make their own. SMU defensive back Chevin Calloway wanted to do his part in keeping everyone educated on making proper masks, so he and his mother posted a video on social media earlier this week.
Check out Calloway and Jeanell Davis, an assistant principal at Faith Family Academy in Dallas, provide a helpful tutorial on making masks using cloth substances and rubber hands -- all items you can find at home.
