Rather than preparing for the classic Saturday football game, SMU is in accelerated mode gearing up for its lone Thursday game of the 2019 schedule. The Mustangs will travel to Houston to take on a Cougars team that has already played one game on Thursday, one on Friday and one on Sunday this season.
