4-star guard to visit SMU this upcoming weekend

Chad Morris and his coaching staff's actions have shown that an offensive lineman is high on their priority list for 2015.
So despite his Texas recruiting emphasis, Morris took a flight up north to Oklahoma City to visit with four-star Casady guard Josh Wariboko at his home last week.

"It went pretty well. He came by the house and we sat down and ate dinner," Wariboko said. "We talked a bit and got to know him a little more."
Wariboko knows Morris from his time as Clemson offensive coordinator when the senior was a Tiger target.
"He was saying that him coming from Clemson, we have a relationship already," Wariboko said. "He wants to build something new, start new program, and he said he wants some pioneers that will come and ride with him."
For a player that had already cut his list down to Ohio State, Oklahoma, UCLA, USC, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Louisville and California, Wariboko said the visit made a strong impression.
"It made a really good impression. It was coach Morris' birthday and he flew here for a home visit. I thought that was really special. I'm gonna be down there this weekend to visit. I'll probably be there Friday for the whole day and stay all weekend."
Wariboko has not decided whether or not this visit will be his fifth and final official trip but he knows his younger brother, 2016 three-star cornerback Max (also the holder of an SMU offer), will be down to visit the school as well.
"I'm excited about seeing the campus, to see the rest of the staff and get an idea what the program is all about. SMU has a really good business school and I'm interested in studying that so I want to check that out as well."
The academic side is what Wariboko has known about SMU up until now.
"My high school is private and really academic and SMU's a really good school as it is. I hear about it all the time; we have a lot of graduates go there and some of my former teammates are there and they like it a lot."
Wariboko is not sure when he will make his commitment but he gave three possibilities: Next week on his birthday (December 17), at the All-American game, or on Signing Day itself. The 6-foot-3, 314-pound guard says the three most important characteristics of his future school are going to be, "Resources after college, a good football program and academics."
