Colleyville Heritage safety Myles Crosby became the next commit for the SMU 2013 class when he pulled the trigger and committed late Wednesday night. Crosby who is 6-foot-3, 200 pounds is happy the process is over.

"It was really meant to be," said Crosby. "When the recruiting process begin I really wanted SMU to offer me since they have a great film school I can major in."

Crosby is having a great senior year with 74 tackles and 7 pass breakups already. Crosby has visited the SMU campus twice and knew it was the perfect place for him.

"I visited the SMU campus twice. Once for the TCU game and on Tuesday to speak with the coaches and coach Mason came to see me at a game a few weeks ago" said Crosby. "Everything was great about it the campus, the location, the football team is on the rise, and the coaches are great and it felt right."

Crosby has been under the radar for many schools as he missed the entire summer camp circuit had started to gain interest from many schools since he has had a great senior year.

"Tulsa, Kansas, Arizona State, and Purdue had all talked about offering," said Crosby. "They wanted me to play a hybrid linebacker though for them and SMU not only wanted me at safety but were the first to offer so that really stood out."

Even though he is gaining interest from other schools Crosby is not interested and has a place he feels he can call home.

"I am totally solid to SMU," said Crosby." I am very happy the process is over and now I can go back to focusing entirely on my senior season, SMU was my dream school."
