The Road to Signing Day: The O Line
The Road to Signing Day continues with a look at the offensive line, plus one.
It's hard to imagine a more successful year for an individual position of need than what Pete Carroll and Co. have put together this year. However, with rumors swirling about junior Chilo Rachal leaving early for the NFL, it's reasonable to think that this group may have room for one or two more players.
Committed: Matt Kalil, Tyron Smith, Matt Meyer, Daniel Campbell, Khalid Holmes
Simply put this group is the best in the nation, by a long shot. Kalil and Smith both have the talent to be elite tackles before they're done at USC. Meyer and Campbell may be forced to mature quickly in order battle for playing time at right guard their freshman year.
The good news is, Meyer has already enrolled at USC and will be ready for spring football. What is clear is that this group will provide USC with depth and skill along the entire line for the next four to five years.
